Fatima Inter College, Bardhai Bazar, Mankapur is well known Inter College at Mankapur for the quality education which it imparts to the students. The Inter College management goes out of the way to help the students by keeping its motto, ‘Love and Service’ in mind. We are convinced that the aim of education is not just information, but personal formation which should lead to societal transformation. A child’s personality is to be formed not just by imparting knowledge but by assisting and training him/her to think, judge, and act in a matured way. The child has to imbibe human values and should have moral character to live by these values. Values are not just taught but rather caught. Therefore, the witness of life and good example of parents and teachers is of paramount importance in this regard. Dr. Albert Schweitzer has said that in inspiring or influencing people example is not the main thing it is the only thing. How true it is and how great responsibility of parents and teachers to be good role models for their children.
Education in initial stages is like mouth-feeding. Little children are made to memorize the things. But as they advance in classes, it is the duty of the teachers to make them understand and learn by themselves. If this is done, then I don’t feel our students need to have extra coaching or tuition. They will be able to stand on their own feet and conquer the world. They need to have their own original thinking and need to reflect for themselves. I wish our students and teachers understand and follow this.
The child is our focus point in this Inter College. Every effort is being made to give personalized attention and provide child friendly environment. A well balanced academic and co-curricular program is implemented to enable the students to attain their full potential and personality development. A committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create a child-centric Inter College. My appreciation towards parents for their unstinting support in everything we do. Further I exhort them to keep a track of the development of their children and give then quality time. Everybody has to walk an extra mile to maintain discipline and to reach all round development of our children.
